Countries are working towards the integration of technology in urban areas to transform the state into a smart city, and Thiruvananthapuram, the Southern Indian state of Kerala is one of them.

Like the upcoming smart city in Phnom Penh City Center, Thiruvananthapuram and perhaps many other cities have a common goal- to build a nation that will enrich the daily lives of their residents.

The modernised functions will help to drive efficiency and functions of the city such as improving transit control, providing parking lot management solutions, and water waste management.

With the increased number of people moving into living in a city, the UN predicts that 68% of the world population is projected to live in urban areas by 2025. By making cities smarter, existing challenges will be overcome and the citizens’ country, their home, will be made into a better place to live in.
